The song, "Singing Over Me" was written out of a place of realizing where my identity has always, and will always, stand with Jesus. That I am not becoming a 'different Carli', but rather allowing the Lord to pull back layers the world painted over me, to allow the person I always was within to shine. The song speaks that no matter what storm comes my way, Jesus is constant and faithful. He is singing songs of deliverance over me. It's a revelation that He has been singing over me since birth and has never stopped; even in my darkest times, Jesus looked at me with tears in His eyes and said, "That's not who you are, I know who you are. You are worth more than that. Let me show you. Let me love you." That is the heart of this song. God's heart.

The song starts out in spontaneous worship to the Lord as I am declaring my identity. After the thunder strikes, it shifts into prophetic worship as the Lord sings back to me. The song ends with the Lord's lullaby over me for this season.
